ABOUT THE ROLE
As a JJ's Yard Hand / Depot Labourer, you will perform general yard maintenance and cleanliness, and carry out non-technical maintenance.
On a day-to-day basis, this role will require you to be responsible for a variety of depot tasks including: complete bin repairs, bin washing and maintenance, bin preparation, vehicle washing and detailing, general labouring duties and fill-in as a heavy vehicle offsider (runner).
JJ's is an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers.
This position is a permanent, full-time position (Monday to Friday) - 4am starts required.
The role will involve:
Perform general housekeeping duties maintaining a high standard of site compliance
Operation or various fixed and mobile plant equipment
Maintaining routine work records and inventories
Carrying out non-technical maintenance tasks internally and externally as required
Manual handling around the yard and facilities
ABOUT YOU
Current forklift licence - Essential
Able to demonstrate self-management and good communication skills
General mechanical and repair skills advantageous
General knowledge of WH&S hazards and safety procedures
Be dedicated to achieving high standards of safety compliance
Be subject to a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing
