Job Description
Are you passionate about road safety and community service? Join us as a permanent, full-time NRMA employed Driving Instructor. Start with learner lessons and deliver the NSW Safer Drivers Course, with opportunities to expand your qualifications to facilitate senior assessments and corporate training.

About The Role
* Location: Wollongong
* Hours: Guaranteed 38 hours per week
* Availability: Rostered Monday – Sunday, 7 AM – 8 PM
* Roster: Provided in advance, focusing on weekends and after/before school hours
What You'll Bring
Essential Licenses:
* Current Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics and NSW Driving Instructor License
* Minimum 3 years experience as a Driver Trainer in NSW
* Willingness to obtain TfNSW Safer Drivers Course accreditation before starting
* Willingness to obtain Senior Assessment qualifications (requires 3 years Driver Training experience)
* Valid NSW C class Driver’s License
* Valid Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
Essential Skills:
* Passion for developing safe, independent drivers
* Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
* Ability to promote NRMA products positively
* Strong communication skills across diverse demographics
* Excellent knowledge of NSW road rules
* Effective diary management and strong work ethic
* Adaptability to different learning styles
* Team player with flexibility and growth mindset
Desirable (or willingness to obtain):
* Facilitation skills (willing to undertake Cert IV Training and Assessment)
* Willingness to upskill in driver training products such as SDC and proprietary corporate programs
Please note: Employment is contingent upon successful in-car assessment and pre-employment checks, including license verification, WWCC, and driving history.
