Band 4 - base salary from $125,000 per annum (plus super) - total package to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on skills and experience
We have an opportunity for an experienced Planning Specialist to join our team and support the strategic planning and optimisation of work programs across TasNetworks' overhead distribution network.
In this role, you'll help plan and coordinate a portfolio of capital and maintenance works, ensuring programs are structured for safe, efficient delivery by our Field Operations teams. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders to build and maintain a 12-month rolling works plan, aligning project priorities, budgets and resource availability.
What you'll do
* Support the strategic planning and optimisation of overhead distribution network work programs
* Develop and maintain a 12-month rolling works plan for capital, maintenance and customer-initiated projects
* Build work packages ready for delivery, including planning resources, plant and materials
* Develop resource capacity plans to support the delivery of a major annual works portfolio
* Work closely with teams across design, program delivery, asset management, safety and logistics
* Monitor program progress and adjust plans to manage risks, priorities and budgets
* Use systems such as SAP, IFS and ESRI geospatial tools to develop and optimise work programs
About you
You're a practical and analytical planner with experience coordinating complex work programs in a maintenance, construction or utilities environment.
You will bring:
* Qualifications in project management, works management, business systems or similar, or equivalent industry experience
* Experience planning and coordinating large work programs or project portfolios
* Strong understanding of distribution network work delivery or similar infrastructure environments
* Experience using ERP systems (such as SAP) and geospatial tools to manage work programs
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in complex situations
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* A focus on continuous improvement and efficient work delivery
* Current driver's licence
