Administration Officer Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Administration Officer to join our team and support patient flow and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement the Model of Care, focusing on efficient medical reception and service delivery.
* Maintain effective use of clinic calendars to ensure smooth patient flow.
* Handle GP referrals and contribute to recall function adherence to ATSICHS Policies and Procedures.
* Ensure accurate handling of patient correspondence in accordance with ATSICHS Privacy Policy and Procedures.
* Prioritize continuous quality improvement, conducting annual reviews for efficiency.
* Contribute to Medical Service Billing accuracy, adhering to ATSICHS Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Strong willingness to learn and adapt.
* Availability to work across various shifts, including weekends.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities, respecting their culture and practices.
* Previous experience in administration or service coordination is highly valued.
* Familiarity with electronic Patient Management Systems (e.g., MMEx) is an advantage.
* Knowledge of the Australian Medicare Benefit Schedule (MBS), Medicare system, and Practice Incentive Programs (PIP) is beneficial.
* Certificate III in Business Administration (or equivalent) is preferred.
* Strong organizational, prioritization, and independent working skills.
* Interpersonal and problem-solving communication skills with a focus on client outcomes.
