About the Role:
Randstad is assisting a QLD Government department seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Support Officer (AO4) to join their procurement team. This role provides essential administrative and operational support to procurement activities, ensuring efficient and compliant procurement processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting with various stages of the procurement lifecycle, contributing to the delivery of value-for-money outcomes for the Queensland Government.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the wider procurement team
Assist with the preparation of procurement documentation such as purchase requisitions, quotation requests, and simple tender documents
Maintain and update procurement databases and systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity of information
Assist with the coordination of procurement processes, including scheduling meetings, managing timelines, and tracking progress
Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to gather information and facilitate procurement activities
Process invoices and payments in accordance with financial guidelines
Assist with contract management activities, including monitoring contract performance and expiry dates
Undertake other administrative and project support tasks as required
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Proven administrative and organisational skills, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong computer literacy skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
A positive attitude and a commitment to providing high-quality support
Desirable (but not essential):
Previous experience in a procurement or administrative support role within the Queensland Government or a similar environment
Familiarity with Queensland Government procurement policies and procedures
Experience using procurement information management systems
