Our Client based inSouth Nowrais a leading manufacturer of vitamins, protein powders, and more. Due to continued growth and new products being launched they are looking for a Maintenance Fitterto join their Maintenance team.
With big plans on the horizon, they are looking for people who are looking for a career not just a job. We are hoping to build a strong team and support them as they grow with the company Working closely with the Maintenance Manager you will be assisting with maintaining and improving our mechanical equipment while adhering to all Quality and Safety standards and procedures.
This position is a full time position with ordinary hours being Monday - Friday 6am -2pm with flexibility required to support business requirements
The maintenance team is a highly motivated, very engaged team and we want to keep building this culture with the successful applicant.
Who you are:
* Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualified (Fitter Machinist, Mechanical, Engineering)
* Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment (FMCG, food production or similar) preferred.
* Demonstrated understanding of food safety and quality management systems, including monitoring, record keeping, product conformity, and the identification, control, and reporting of non-conforming product
* Mechanical fault finding and problem-solving skills
* Ability to operate general workshop machine tools E.g. Lathe, mill, drill
* Understands the importance of working with a sense of urgency and remaining calm under high pressure situations
* Able to identify root causes and carry out continuous improvements to site safety, product quality and operational efficiency
What you will be doing:
* Carrying out planned and breakdown maintenance of machinery
* Assisting with assembly and installation of brand new production equipment
* Fault finding and repairs in time sensitive situations
* Completing required paperwork related to breakdowns, safety, and quality
* Identifying trends in machine breakdowns and maintenance issues
