As the
Leading Hand Plant Mechanic you
will join our Regional Team on a Residential or FIFO basis at our Newman branch.
Department Overview:
Newman Branch look after the East Pilbara, from small construction equipment to large mining machines.
Roster:
14 Days On, 7 Off – 12 hrs/day
What You'll Do:
* Lead and motivate a crew of up to 10 employees
* Manage and handle high-volume work efficiently.
* Promote and encourage high safety standards and a positive, can-do attitude.
* Assist in training team members and work alongside them.
* Accountable for the completion of all aspects of rebuilds and repairs across a varied fleet of Caterpillar machines
* Ensure that all replacements and repairs are carried out with the intention of rebuilding customer CAT fleets to extend their life and improve productivity
Skills & Experience:
* Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
* Exposure to mining, construction equipment, or other industrial areas such as agriculture, highway trucks, or hire equipment.
* Experience with CAT equipment
* Team leadership experience with a strong emphasis on safety.
* Ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
* Strong understanding of KPI metrics
