Cook Shire Council is seeking a proactive and experienced Civil Construction Foreperson to lead and coordinate civil construction crews and activities across the Shire. This is a pivotal role ensuring that capital, operational, and maintenance works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
As a key member of the Infrastructure Division, you will oversee project planning and execution, staff supervision, contractor management, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental and operational standards. You'll play a vital role in maintaining and improving essential infrastructure including marine facilities, roads, and public structures.

What you'll be doing
* Lead and supervise construction teams in delivering Council's civil projects and daily operations.
* Coordinate project planning, scheduling, and delivery within budget and quality specification
* Prepare project documentation, risk assessments, and reports.
* Mentor and lead a team to deliver outstanding results.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
* Ensure compliance with legislative, safety, and Council standards.
What we're looking for
* Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision or Certificate III in Civil Construction and Maintenance
* MR Class Driver's Licence & Construction White Card
* Traffic Management Implementation Certificate & Road and Structural Inspection Certification
* Demonstrated experience in civil construction and project supervision.
* Strong leadership and team coordination capabilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital project documentation.
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
* Sound understanding of WHS and Environmental legislation.
