We are situated at Unit 3/8 Welch Street, Underwood, Qld -4119.
Duties and responsibilities:
Repairing plaster and paper cornices, panel moldings, ceiling centres, and various other plaster fixtures.
Examining and priming surfaces for plastering.
Mixing plaster thoroughly and applying it to walls and ceilings with tools like trowels, then leveling and smoothing the coats for a consistent finish.
Choosing the plasterboard arrangement and installing insulation and vapor barriers for protection.
Securing corner beads in place to protect corners from knocks and impact damage.
Informing the management of any structural problems cited.
Marking and cutting plasterboards as per the measurements.
Installing the cut plasterboard securely to the walls, ceilings, and battens by lifting and positioning them safely.
Installing the metal framework that will support the suspended ceiling tiles.
Collaborating with other contractors to ensure project deadlines are met on time.
Installing acoustic, fireproofing, and insulating materials for protection as per the safety standards.
Applying wet plaster and sealing compounds to joints and fixings, then smoothing them for a high-quality finish with tools like wet brushes and sandpaper.
Protecting non-plastering surfaces with appropriate materials.
Crafting decorative textures in finishing coats to meet customer specifications for an appealing look.
Aligning and straightening corners, angles, and surfaces of walls and ceilings.
Following health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working setting.
Ensuring that all work complies with building codes and industry standards.
Qualification and experiences
• At least two years of experience in a similar role is required.
• Enthusiastic and motivated individual.
• Friendly, positive & approachable attitude.
• Adherence to OH&S; Regulations.
