Ripley Valley State Secondary College, opened in 2020, serves a rapidly growing community and is committed to meeting the needs of its expanding student population. About the Role

The ideal applicant should have a strong working knowledge of the Australian Curriculum in English and Senior Schooling pathways (QCAA), with preferred experience in moderation, assessment, and reporting guidelines, particularly related to the implementation of the 7-9 Australian Curriculum. The successful applicant will be required to case manage student behaviour and learning as part of the College's Multi-Tiered System of Support and should have experience in case management to improve student outcomes.

The successful applicant would ideally commence at the beginning of the 2026 school year.

Your Responsibilities

As the Head of Department - English, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Leading English department in line with school expectations and initiatives
- Participating in delivering the vision of Equity and Excellence
- Developing the quality of teaching and learning
- Nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.
