We’re seeking a dedicated Regional EHS Specialist to lead our Environment, Health & Safety initiatives across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Technology, and Commercial functions in ANZ

About the role:

This role is responsible for leading the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs across the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region. As a regional point of contact, the position provides dedicated support to both operational teams—including manufacturing plants, supply chain, and technical functions—and commercial teams, such as sales and customer-facing staff.

A key focus of the role is ensuring full compliance with local HSE regulations as well as fulfilling the organization’s commitments under the Responsible Care program, a globally recognized initiative promoting safe and sustainable chemical management. The individual will drive alignment of regional EHS policies and procedures with global standards, proactively monitor regulatory changes, assess risks, and implement corrective actions to foster a zero-incident and zero-spill culture.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide proactive EHS support across multiple business units and functions

- Lead and drive corporate EHS objectives, targets, and program rollouts

- Develop and implement regional procedures to support risk mitigation and regulatory compliance

- Ensure alignment of regional practices with global EHS initiatives

- Build robust relationships with plant managers and EHS professionals, influencing safety culture across sites

- Monitor regulatory changes, identify non-compliance risks, and champion a zero-incident, zero-spill culture

- Manage and coordinate internal and external audits, and uphold Responsible Care certification standards

- Organize and deliver EHS training to Supply Chain and Commercial teams

- Drive safety improvements through meetings, inspections, JSA exercises, and cross-functional safety activities

- Oversee and conduct safety events like customer site inspections, defensive driving assessments, and fire safety training

- Support and coach commercial leaders on incident and near miss investigations, root cause analysis, and tracking corrective actions

- Maintain and update EHS online systems, databases, and administrative tools

- Implement contractor safety management, waste vendor audits, and ensure compliance across third-party partners including logistics and warehouse vendors

About you:

- Strong experience in EHS management across complex operational environments

- Familiarity with Responsible Care principles, EHS audits, and regulatory compliance in ANZ

- Excellent stakeholder communication skills with proven ability to influence and drive culture

- Solid understanding of risk assessment methodologies and root cause analysis

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across regional teams

- A hands-on approach and commitment to continuous safety improvement
