Salary:
$109,309 per annum + superannuation (+on-call allowance + penalty rates for out-of-hours as required)

If you're looking for a leadership role that combines field work, animal management, environmental protection and community safety, this could be the one. The Shire of Esperance is seeking a
Coordinator Ranger Services
to support the day-to-day coordination of our Ranger team.

What you'll do

You'll assist with supervising operational activities of the Ranger team and help deliver compliance and community safety services across the Shire, including:

* Support daily coordination and on-ground supervision of Ranger operations
* Enforce relevant legislation and Council policies across:
* Animal control
* Litter control
* Camping control
* Fire hazard reduction
* Abandoned vehicles
* Respond to community concerns quickly, professionally, and consistently
* Liaise with residents, visitors, businesses, and other agencies to resolve issues and achieve compliance
* Contribute to a safe, respectful, and solutions-focused team culture

What we're looking for

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

* Experience in ranger services, compliance, local law enforcement, or a similar operational field role
* Confidence in making decisions and applying legislation/policies fairly and consistently
* Strong communication skills (you can de-escalate situations and explain decisions clearly)
* A practical, outdoors mindset and willingness to work in varied conditions
* The ability to support and guide a team in day-to-day operational work
* Capacity to participate in
out-of-hours
work, including on-call (where required)
