As a Senior Engineer, you will manage the mechanical design delivery process across complex buildings projects and be accountable for delivering high quality design outcomes that meet the scope, budget, program and safety requirements of the project.You will have a proactive client focused mindset, with a best-for-project approach to delivery. You will contribute to our team's success in delivering projects across health, education (tertiary and secondary), research and transport-oriented developments such as integrated stations and large-scale precinct redevelopments.Role accountabilitiesDeliver mechanical design from feasibility study to practical completion for major projects, ensuring the highest level of sustainability, innovation and qualityProactively manage selected projects (or packages of projects) and take responsibility for resource allocation whilst providing leadership, technical advice and leading by exampleEnsuring the integrity of the overall design in collaboration with other design disciplinesUnderstand our clients' businesses and the industry to consolidate company and personal credibilityLead by example in technical issues, problem-solving, and fostering a culture of innovation within the teamBuilding and maintaining effective relationships with clients and team members.Manage commercial aspects of the project areas you are responsible for (contracting, invoicing, debt management, client management etc.)Qualifications & Experience First and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life. You are a seasoned mechanical engineering professional with more than 7 years of experience, strong industry ties and demonstrated credibility in a design consulting environment. You will come to us with:Experience within the buildings sector with a particular interest in experience within the Health, Education, Research sectorCommitment to improving quality of life through sustainable and innovative designConfidence in liaising with clients and contractors to achieve successful outcomes.Developing commercial skills in contracting, invoicing, debt management, and client managementVictorian Engineering Registration or Chartered EngineerEngineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.Why Arcadis?
