The unit includes a 6-bed Labour Ward, 30-bed Maternity, and 9-bed Special Care Unit, providing a fast-paced and rewarding work environment.Opportunities for career advancement and professional development are available.The role involves providing advice, care, and support to women during pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period, including neonatal care. You will work as part of a small team providing continuity of care in both hospital and community settings, with on-call duties under the Caseload Midwifery Agreement with a 35% loading. The position requires initiative, adaptability, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.Our woman-centred approach values maternal wishes and promotes respectful collaboration among caregivers to achieve optimal outcomes. Support is provided by the medical team and core staff in various clinics and wards.
