About The Role
Thiess is seeking Field Service Mechanics and Electricians to support maintenance of client fleets and Thiess sites in the Hunter region. Multiple roster options and competitive salaries are available.
Successful applicants will work in various industries depending on experience and willingness to rotate through different environments. In these roles, you will:
Perform servicing, repair, and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment including Caterpillar, Liebherr, Komatsu, and more
Mobilise and demobilise equipment from sites
Source technical information from manuals, bulletins, OEM, and digital systems
Maintain good housekeeping standards
Manage work orders
Work semi-autonomously when required
Be part of a motivated and driven team
About You
To succeed, you should have:
Proven experience as a Fitter or Electrician
Post-trade experience in Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industries
Relevant Certificate of Proficiency issued by Training NSW
Experience with maintenance, breakdowns, component changeouts, servicing, and diagnostics of Heavy Earthmoving equipment
Preferred experience with Liebherr, Caterpillar, Komatsu equipment
OEM experience is desirable
Current driver’s license
Australian Citizenship or valid visa
