Farm Assistant (Part‑time)
St Stanislaus' College Bathurst, a day and boarding school for boys in Years 7 to 12, is seeking a Farm Assistant to support the education and care of students on its Sunnyside Farm.
Position Overview
The Farm Assistant is a member of the Agriculture Faculty, working 19 hours per week. The role is salaried and includes accommodation at the farm.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the day‑to‑day running of Sunnyside Farm, ensuring accessibility for staff and students.
* Care for livestock and maintain high farm management standards.
* Construct and maintain fences, and care for pasture and crops.
* Support farm operations such as repairs, feed deliveries, and other product deliveries.
* Adhere to WHS practices and safe chemical handling.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience and passion for working with young people in an education or care setting.
* On‑farm experience, including general livestock care, fence construction, pasture care, crop establishment and maintenance.
* Knowledge of WHS practices and chemical handling.
* Holder of an MR drivers licence.
* Committed to living onsite at the farm and available for irregular and unsociable hours.
