Director, Employment Law
This role serves as the primary point of contact for all employment law issues in the APAC region, including complex forward-looking strategic issues, specific advice, and day-to-day employee relations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the complexities of employment law and be able to provide guidance on how to advise on these diverse legal issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the point of contact for all employment law issues in the APAC Region.
* Advise HR leadership regarding employment law issues and provide or identify legal counsel for multiple countries.
* Proactively address employment law issues and policies, stay up to date on the law, and advise the company accordingly.
* Manage employment litigation and respond to DOL investigations and administrative complaints.
* Manage ad hoc employment law projects and advise HR and management as appropriate.
The successful candidate will have experience counseling human resources professionals at all levels on the full range of employment law issues and defending employers in court litigation, government agency investigations, mediations/arbitrations, and settlement negotiations. They will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment, prioritize work, and adjust to frequent workload fluctuations.
