Event Coordinator Job Description
This role is a dynamic opportunity to work in the delivery of South Australia's History Festival and other major events.
The Event Coordinator will be at the centre of our Major Events team, working to plan and deliver flagship festivals and events. The ideal candidate will combine creativity, organisational prowess, and passion for storytelling to ensure every event resonates with audiences, strengthens community connections, and celebrates South Australia's unique history.
Key Components Of The Role
* Assists with the successful delivery of current major events, including the History Festival and the Bay to Birdwood vintage car run.
* Supports the identification of opportunities and assists with the development of the events profile of the History Trust.
* Assists with the supervision, induction, performance management, and training of volunteer event team members.
* Supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of current and new events.
* Undertakes evaluation and supports the continual improvement of events.
* Possesses an understanding of event budget management.
* Assists with delivery of marketing and communication strategies.
* Advances and assists in developing relationships with tourism and event organisers around SA and nationally.
* Undertakes administrative tasks to support event management.
