Matrix Education is now hiring Maths Teachers to join us at our Parramatta, Castle Hill, Chatswood, Hurstville, Strathfield or Epping campuses.
This role is ideal for anyone who is a subject matter expert who can explain things clearly and is passionate about their area of expertise! Our team is a diverse group of high school teachers, corporate professionals, educational outreach staff, university teaching staff and postgraduate university students.
Classes commence at 4:30pm on weekdays or from 9:00am on weekends at our fabulous campuses, all within 3 minutes walk from major railway (or Metro) stations!
Full time Maths Teacher opportunities also exist!
You will have the opportunity to work with a fun and talented team in a great work environment. Minimal lesson preparation is required as lessons and resources are provided for you.
What you'll do...
* Teaching regular weekly classes throughout the academic term (all lesson materials and resources are prepared for you).
* Ongoing monitoring of students' academic progress through marking of short weekly quizzes.
* Flagging of struggling students to academic team leaders for additional academic mentoring.
What you'll need...
* A genuine passion for teaching.
* Previous experience teaching secondary Maths in a classroom setting.
* Extensive knowledge of the current NESA curriculum in stage 4, 5, and 6 Maths.
* Completed their degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
* Postgraduate studies in the above listed disciplines will be highly regarded.
