About PCA Traineeship: Our PCA traineeships allow you to study and work at the same time! It is your first step in developing a career in the Aged Care sector. You will complete: 2 weeks full time induction training, followed by Minimum 3 shifts per week paid work Continue to study whilst working and being paid Finish with a Certificate III in Individual Support (PCA certificate) You will be paired with a buddy who will help you to learn in your role as a PCA. You will be supported by the Signature Care team as well as receive training and support from our education partner. What does a Personal Carer Do? Build meaningful working relationships with residents Personal care - bathroom/incontinence assistance/supporting and showers and dressing residents Serving meals and supporting residents with a meal Wellbeing - talking with residents and participating in activities Cleaning - tidying rooms, changing linen Administration - computer based documentation About Yourself: As a trainee, you are basically assessed at all times as the course and practical experience progresses. You will be limited to what you can do initially but as you progress you will expand your scope of work.
