The role
As a Casual Heart Health Check Lead, you will deliver mobile heart health checks at community events and partner locations across your region and interstate. Working semi-autonomously, you'll engage members of the public, conduct express and complete heart health checks, and provide clear, supportive guidance on heart health and lifestyle risk factors. This role balances hands on health screening with excellent customer experience, requiring sound judgement, attention to detail, and strong communication. You'll represent the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute with professionalism while supporting community awareness and prevention of cardiovascular disease.
What we will trust you with
* Delivering mobile heart health checks at community and partner events
* Setting up and maintaining testing and concierge stations, equipment and stock
* Measuring blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol accurately
* Completing equipment checks, controls and basic troubleshooting
* Engaging participants respectfully and assisting with forms and wait‐time communication
* Providing clear, discreet guidance on heart health and lifestyle modification
* Working collaboratively with partner organisations and the Heart Health Check team
* Driving the Institute's vehicle and transporting equipment as required

* You are highly motivated, incredibly reliable, and comfortable working independently
* Confident and friendly, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Passionate about heart health, prevention and community wellbeing
* Experienced in customer service and engaging diverse audiences
* Comfortable using basic digital tools (Email, Word, Excel)
* Flexible with availability, including evenings, weekends and regional travel
* Hold a current unrestricted driver's licence and are confident driving a 2015 Jeep Compass
* Background in healthcare or a related discipline
