As an ANUM, you will provide high-quality nursing services across a variety of healthcare settings, leveraging your expertise to support both patient care and team development.
You will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring less experienced staff, ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred care.
With a focus on professional growth, you will continue to develop from a competent to a proficient practitioner while maintaining accountability for your own practice and delegated responsibilities.
In this leadership role, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and fellow ANUMs to promote continuity and consistency of care.
You will assist in implementing practice changes, support workforce management through rostering and recruitment, and contribute to financial and supply planning.
Your ability to lead, support, and collaborate within the team will be essential in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring the smooth operation of the ward or service.

About You We are looking for a dedicated and experienced nursing professional who is ready to take on a leadership role as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager.
You will bring strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
Qualifications & Registration – Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing Board of Australia, holding a current practising certificate.
Skills & Abilities – Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Experience – Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience or current classification as a Clinical Nurse, with demonstrated competence in nursing practice and experience supervising less experienced staff.
Knowledge – Understanding of ANUM responsibilities, healthcare legislation, industry standards, and Quality Improvement Systems within a healthcare setting.
