Proposals Manager – Process Plant Solutions
Lead complex bids. Shape proposal strategy. Play a key role in some of the most advanced technology projects driving the future of the resources industry.
We're representing an established process engineering business, experiencing record growth and delivering high-value evaporation, crystallisation and ZLD plant solutions to the global battery chemicals and critical minerals sectors.
Their technology sits at the heart of the energy transition; enabling cleaner, more efficient production of essential materials used in electric vehicles and energy storage systems.
As Proposals Manager, you'll take ownership of major tenders ranging from $25m–$100m+, leading the full bid process from strategy to submission. You'll coordinate inputs across engineering, estimating and sales teams in Australia and internationally, ensuring each proposal is commercially sharp, technically sound, and delivered on time.
This is a genuine leadership mandate to set the standard and build a scalable proposals function as the business expands globally.
You'll thrive here if you enjoy autonomy, pace, and the satisfaction of turning complex process designs into winning bids.
You'll have the freedom to shape how things are done; introducing structure, mentoring a small team, and driving continuous improvement.
What's on offer
* Opportunity to lead proposals for large, high-profile process plant projects in a fast-growing global market
* Direct impact on win rates, team development and commercial performance
* Entrepreneurial, collaborative culture; no bureaucracy, just ownership and delivery
* Highly competitive salary and bonus scheme
Skills & Experience
We're looking for a commercially focused proposals professional with strong technical grounding and proven experience leading bids for engineered process plant projects. You'll bring:
* A background in process engineering, chemical, or mechanical disciplines, ideally with exposure to evaporation, crystallisation, or broader water/process plant systems
* 5–10+ years experience in proposals, estimating, or project engineering roles within an EPC, OEM, or process plant environment
* Strong understanding of how to build winning proposals ; aligning technical content, commercial terms, and value drivers
* Confidence reviewing and challenging PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, and vendor quotations to ensure clarity, scope alignment, and cost accuracy
* Ability to lead multiple bids simultaneously across global teams, managing time zones and resources effectively
* Skilled communicator and writer; able to present technical solutions clearly and persuasively
* A calm, organised operator who thrives under pressure and enjoys working across cultures and disciplines
A degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred, along with genuine interest in the growing battery chemicals and critical minerals sectors.
If you're ready to take full ownership of a high-impact role, we'd like to hear from you
