Hourly rate: $40.64. Includes employer's contribution to superannuation and leave loading.
Responsibilities
A School Administrative Officer provides administrative, financial and student welfare/wellbeing support and assistance in relation to office and classroom activities, including but not limited to the following school settings: the office, sick bay, library, science laboratory, and food technology/kitchen areas.
This position supports the Far North West Group based at Gilgandra High School. Note there is also potential for the position to be based at another school in the region and may be negotiated with the successful candidate. The position supports the program on a temporary basis, up to 0.8 FTE (4 days per week), commencing as soon as possible with an end date of 27 January 2027 (with possibility of extension). The School Administrative Officer works within a base school supporting priorities identified by the Head Teacher Careers for a group of schools.
Essential Requirements
* Working with Children Check Clearance
* First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake First Aid training.
* Administration of Medications – training to be provided based on student needs.
Selected Criteria
* Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
* Administration skills including a knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office.
* Effective oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines.
* Ability to work with teachers and students.
* Ability to perform tasks in one or more of the following areas: office procedures; accounting procedures; sick bay; hospitality and/or design and technology; science.
