About Northern Health
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Community Hospital and Kilmore District Hospital.
Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About Northern Imaging Victoria
Northern Imaging Victoria is the medical imaging program of Northern Health and provides a comprehensive and integrated service consisting of Diagnostic Radiology, Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine/PET including O&G Imaging.
Our department is equipped with the latest medical imaging equipment and a best-of-breed RIS-PACS and VR system.
We are a friendly, supportive and progressive department with a strong focus on pursuing clinical and academic excellence.
Role responsibilities
Deliver safe, high quality and efficient imaging and interventional services to referrers and patients of Northern Health as well as external referrers.
Work as part of the Northern Imaging Victoria team and contribute to clinical governance and service delivery.
This role requires broad general Radiology skills and expertise in Women's Imaging (including competency in O&G imaging) with completion of an appropriate fellowship.
Essential Qualifications, Registrations And Qualities
Primary medical qualification (MBBS, MB BCh, MD or equivalent) registrable with AHPRA.
Registration as a specialist Radiologist in Australia with AHPRA or ability to be registered with AHPRA with currency of practice and CPD participation.
Ability to gain a Medicare provider number at Northern Health sites.
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in Clinical Radiology.
Broad knowledge in all aspects of Radiology for safe and independent consultant practice including plain film radiography, CT, MRI, US, fluoroscopy and core procedural skills.
Expert knowledge and experience in Women's Imaging (including O&G competency) with dedicated fellowship training will be highly desirable.
Demonstrated commitment to excellence in medical imaging service delivery.
Demonstrated commitment to continued improvement and teamwork.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills that enable the development of professional relationships across a broad range of people.
Commitment to excellence in medical imaging, research and medical education including training of junior staff.
Current National Police and Working with Children Check.
