CYC Forest Edge set on 120 acres surrounded by lush fern gullies, quiet rivers, majestic forests and mountains is one of Victoria's favourite group accommodation facilities for schools, churches and community groups.
About the Job
* Both full-time and part-time positions available on a 7 day rotating roster. Shifts generally range between 7am–3pm or 11am–7:30pm

Key Tasks
Reporting to the Head of Catering the Cook/Chefs main goal is to ensure that our guests receive delicious and nutritious meals on time in accordance with the food safety plan and served with exceptional customer service. Key Tasks include:
* Prepare and cook meals as per the pre-arranged menu
* Oversee special diets
* Communicate with guests regarding the needs of their groups including dietary needs
* Monitor food quality and presentation
* Ensure food service areas are clean and organized.
* Assist in the development and creation of new menu items.
* Adhere to the food safety program and kitchen cleaning/maintenance programs
* Train and mentor kitchen staff ensuring a high level of customer service and professionalism.
About You
* Relevant previous experience or qualification required
* Strong knowledge in special diets
* Knowledge of food safety requirements
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Highly customer service focussed
* You love working in a team environment
* Must be able to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays.
