A casual Chef role is now available at The Wild Vine Imbil, a growing restaurant located in the Mary Valley - Imbil, Queensland.
As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals that showcase the fresh local produce and innovative culinary techniques that The Wild Vine is known for.
What you'll be doing
Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality meals to exacting standards
Lead and oversee kitchen service during shifts
Ensuring all food preparation and cooking processes adhere to health and safety regulations
Collaborating with the Head Chef and restaurant owner to develop new menu items and seasonal specials
Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
Assisting with stock management and ordering of ingredients
Contributing to a positive, respectful and productive workplace culture for a growing restaurant
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment, and leading kitchen service
Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating innovative, flavourful dishes
Excellent time management and organisational abilities
Ability to work both effectively in a team and autonomously in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Strong communication
Food safety and hygiene certification
Valid Food Handler certification is required
Is passionate about food quality, presentation, and creativity
Availability on weekends and evenings is essential
Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application
