As an Employment Consultant in the Workforce Australia program, you'll play a hands‐on role in guiding participants through every stage of their employment journey. You'll be the bridge between potential and possibility – helping individuals overcome barriers, discover their strengths, and secure meaningful, long‐term employment.
Your position is based at our Burnie office, while we're also welcoming expressions of interest for future opportunities within our Devonport team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coach Potential: Build strong, trusting relationships, understand individual goals, and deliver tailored coaching that helps participants overcome barriers and thrive.
* Create Pathways: Support participants through resumes, job applications, and interview preparation – building confidence and employability every step of the way.
* Engage Employers: Reverse market participants and build strong employer relationships to uncover meaningful job opportunities.
* Caseload Management: Manage participant caseloads with care and efficiency, ensuring tailored support throughout the employment journey.
* Program Compliance: Manage complex administrative processes, ensuring meticulous record management and strict compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
What You Bring
* Empathetic Coaching: Apply a strengths-based, emotionally intelligent approach to guide participants toward employment.
* Relationship Building: Skilled in developing trust‐based connections and adapting communication styles with empathy and professionalism.
* Organised & Adaptable: Manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced, performance‐driven environment, balancing administrative demands with people‐centred service delivery.
* Tech Savvy: Highly proficient across a wide range of digital tools and adept at navigating multiple systems efficiently.
* Pre‐Requisites: Full work rights in Australia, with the ability to obtain a National Police Check and a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
