The Opportunity
A new and exciting role has arisen for a Revenue Manager to join our Brisbane - Ann Street office on a full time, permanent basis. The Revenue Manager will be responsible for leading and supporting teams across both Credit Control and Work in Progress (WIP) management in Ann Street. This role is pivotal in driving the firm's working capital goals by ensuring the effective and proactive management of unbilled WIP, timely conversion of WIP to bills, and the efficient collection of outstanding legal bills. The Revenue Manager will collaborate closely with billing teams, Practice Executives, Partners, business managers, and other finance functions to deliver exceptional client service and optimise revenue outcomes. The Revenue Manager role sits within our broader Ashurst Service Central (ASC) Finance team. ASC are a large team of experienced problem solvers who provide services across the employee and client lifecycles, delivering in-house operations and transactions to support functions including People & Culture, Finance, Data & Reporting, and BD & Communications with a focus on continuous improvement. Responsibilities
Lead and support teams across Credit Control and WIP management in Ann Street
Drive working capital goals through proactive WIP management, timely WIP-to-bill conversion, and effective collection of outstanding invoices
Collaborate with billing teams, Practice Executives, Partners, and other finance functions to deliver client service and optimise revenue
Qualifications
Experience in revenue management, credit control, or WIP management, preferably within a legal or professional services environment
Proven experience in developing and implementing credit control and WIP policies and procedures
Strong leadership and people management capabilities with mentoring experience
Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships at all levels
Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with practice management systems (e.g., Elite 3E) and legal billing processes
Previous knowledge and understanding of relevant regulatory requirements
