Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our client's team as a Pricing and Derivatives Specialist. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with global leaders in the financial services industry, driving growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pricing and Valuation: Ensure accurate pricing of securities in accordance with established policies, minimizing risk and optimizing returns.
2. Derivative Reconciliation: Collaborate with vendors, fund managers, and counterparts to resolve discrepancies and disputes related to derivative valuation.
3. Methodology Alignment: Partner with stakeholders to understand changes in pricing methodologies, ensuring seamless integration and optimal results.
4. Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve issues related to securities with missing or stale prices, maintaining data integrity and quality.
5. Operational Support: Contribute to incident resolutions, reporting on disputes, and providing analytical insights to drive process improvements.
6. Data Quality: Ensure accurate and reliable data, identifying opportunities for enhancements and implementing efficient solutions.
The Ideal Candidate
1. Experience: At least 2 years of experience in back/middle office operations, with exposure to various instruments, including equities, fixed income, and derivatives.
2. Education: Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
3. Skills: Good understanding of financial instruments, pricing methodologies, and the settlement life cycle; knowledge of Australian financial markets and its participants.
4. Personal Qualities: Great team player, solution-focused, and adaptable.
