A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Oncology Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to step into the role of an Associate Nurse Unit Manager and work in an 8-chair Day Infusion Centre at a private hospital in Melbourne. It is a permanent full-time position.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Day Infusion Centre specialises in Chemotherapy administration and is seeking an ANUM with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join an established nursing team.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Facilitating a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement;
* Maintaining professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high-quality patient outcomes;
* Providing clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based;
* Being accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial, and material resources;
* Coordinating and driving clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives;
* Undertaking direct patient care, as required.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
* Current Registration with AHPRA;
* Working with Children check;
* 3+ years oncology experience;
* Current or previous ANUM, shift manager or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable);
* Postgraduate Degree in relevant specialty area desirable;
* Sound clinical knowledge;
* Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
* Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills;
* Positive role modelling behaviours;
* Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation;
* Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment;
* High degree of computer literacy including MS Office and various databases;
* ADAC competent.
