About Your New Role
The City of Gold Coast is entering an exciting period of transformation, and as part of this change, we will be bringing our IT services in-house. To help make this transition a success, we're looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Desktop Support Team Leader. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our end-users get the support they need while helping to enhance and streamline our IT services.
You'll manage and guide a newly formed team of desktop support professionals, ensuring thatsupport requests are handled quickly and issues with hardware and software are resolved efficiently. You'll also have the chance to shape and improve processes, create key documentation, and work closely with other teams and external vendors to keep everything running smoothly.
We're Looking For People Who Have
Hands-on experience with desktop hardware and software installation, operation, and maintenance. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide, support, and motivate a team. A solid understanding of IT support for end-user devices, including PCs, laptops, and peripherals. Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and processes. Great communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with end-users and cross-functional teams. Experience working with vendors and contracts. Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research issues, interpret and analyse information, and determine the best course of action. A proactive, solution-focused attitude with the ability to resolve issues efficiently. Flexibility to provide on-call support when needed.
