School of Education This is a full-time, fixed-term position through to August 2026 Base salary will be in the range $83,776 - $93,121 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 5) Based at our St Lucia campus About This Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and organised Student and Academic Administration Officer to join the School of Education. In this role, you will provide high-quality customer service and efficient administrative support to students, academic staff and professional colleagues. You will be responsible for a range of student and academic administration activities, supporting the effective delivery of academic programs and services. This position suits someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely and professional support. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Provide timely, accurate advice and support to students, staff and stakeholders in accordance with University policies, procedures and relevant legislation. Manage a broad range of student administration processes, including extensions, enrolment, progression, and related documentation audits. Undertake academic administration activities such as course profiles and Blackboard updates, and reporting. Support governance and continuous improvement by preparing reports, providing secretariat support at meetings, and assisting with the review and implementation of improved processes and work practices. A sound understanding of administrative processes relevant to student and academic administration, or the ability to rapidly gain such knowledge. Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, exercise initiative and sound judgement, and work independently to meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. High level written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. The ability to work collaboratively and effectively within the team and across other organisational units. A strong orientation to the provision of a high level of customer service. An empathy with and ability to communicate with students, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds. Knowledge of University student computer systems and packages e.g. Microsoft office, SI-net, Service Centre and the use of CRM systems would be desirable.
