Job Description

This is a serious, highly trusted role representing a national creative events brand built with intention, care, and consistently high standards.

It's Just a Vibe Creative Studio is expanding our national Hat Burning Workshop events, and we are seeking top-tier humans to join our touring team.

This role represents the It's Just a Vibe Creative Studio brand, its reputation, and the quality of experience delivered at every Hat Burning Workshop. We are hiring intentionally, not casually.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a salary-based, fixed-term role through to December, with significant performance-based bonus incentives.

You will be part of our national touring team, delivering our signature Hat Burning Workshop events across Australia while upholding the warmth, care, and professionalism that define It's Just a Vibe Creative Studio.

Applicants must be based in Cairns.

Our HQ is located in Cairns, and all team members must live locally.

WORKING STRUCTURE

* Work Friday to Sunday, typically three (3) weekends per month, with one (1) weekend off
* No work on public holidays
* During school holidays and long weekends, work two (2) days per weekday at our Cairns HQ
* Flights, travel, car hire, and meals included
* Weekly pay of $1,000–$1,500 before tax, plus superannuation, with significant performance-based bonus incentives

WHAT TOUR WEEKENDS ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE

We value transparency.

Tour weekends are big, full, rewarding days, typically 12–14 hours, including travel time.

Weekends generally involve:

* Packing and loading stock
* Friday travel to the event location
* Collecting hire vehicles
* Arriving at the hired studio
* Unpacking and setting up
* Checking into accommodation
* Delivering Hat Burning Workshop events across the weekend
* Supporting guests emotionally and creatively
* Sunday afternoon pack-down and return travel

The days are long, but they are incredibly rewarding and enjoyably fun. You travel, don't need to cook or clean, stay in quality locations, and witness guests leave feeling proud, confident, and often surprised by what they've created, all while earning strong pay across just three days, filled with inspiration, energy, and connection.

TEAM STRUCTURE

Hat Burning Workshop events are delivered by:

* 1 Team Leader
* 2 Assistants

All team members are trained to confidently step into both roles, with leadership responsibilities shared across the team.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A PROFESSIONAL ARTIST

This role is creativity-first.

You do not need a formal creative background to apply, only a willingness to learn, guide others, and support creative self-expression.

TRAINING & ONBOARDING

You will be fully supported before stepping into the role independently.

You will receive:

* Hands-on training over four (4) weeks, covering workshop delivery, systems, and brand standards
* A guided shadowing period of four (4) weeks, working alongside experienced team members
* After eight (8) weeks, you'll confidently run events with your own team, with ongoing HQ support always available

This structure ensures you are prepared, supported, and trusted before leading independently.

WHAT THIS ROLE IS REALLY ABOUT

This role is about:

* Encouraging creativity and self-expression
* Building confidence
* Supporting vulnerability
* Creating a safe, welcoming environment
* Reminding guests that things don't have to be perfect to be beautiful

Our Hat Burning Workshops are designed to be beginner-friendly for everyone. With the right guidance, tools, and encouragement, guests learn that creativity is about expression, not perfection.

SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE

* Guests feeling supported, confident, and proud of what they've created
* Hat Burning Workshop events running smoothly, with calm adaptability when hiccups occur
* The It's Just a Vibe experience delivered with heart, consistency, and professionalism every single time

AUTONOMY & TRUST

Once fully trained:

* You'll be trusted to manage events independently, within your team
* You'll follow the workshop framework while bringing your own warmth, energy, and personality
* You'll always have HQ support behind you

THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF…

This role will not suit someone who:

* Isn't confident, warm, and people-focused
* Prefers to stay in the background
* Struggles with long days or responsibility
* Views this as "just a job" rather than a leadership role
* Lacks emotional intelligence, patience, or adaptability

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

* Based in Cairns
* Full, unrestricted driver's licence
* Confident driving in and around major cities
* Willingness to travel as required
* Able to pass a criminal record check
* Willingness to sign a non-compete clause
* Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
* Physically capable of setup, pack-down, and long days
* Professional, respectful, brand-aligned at all times

This role is open to all genders.

WHAT WE OFFER

* Salary-based, fixed-term role through to December
* Significant performance-based bonus incentives
* No public holiday work
* Structured HQ work during school holidays and long weekends
* Flights, travel, car hire, and meals included
* Full training, mentoring, and ongoing support
* Leadership and growth opportunities
* A summer break, with strong potential to continue beyond December

WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS

It's Just a Vibe Creative Studio was built on the belief that everyone deserves to feel creative, capable, and supported.

This role exists to protect the quality, consistency, and integrity of our Hat Burning Workshop experience as we continue to grow nationally.

When you're on the road, you are a trusted representative of our brand and our values.

This is a highly selective role.

To apply, you must submit:

* A short video (2–3 minutes) introducing yourself and explaining why this role speaks to you
* Written responses to the application questions
