NW Mining & Civil are urgently seeking a labourer who has a current QLD Explosives Security Clearance for work on our shot crew.
Starting ASAP, working on the shot crew will see you marking out holes, offsiding the loader and truck, and following direction from the senior shotfirer. Similar experience would be an advantage but someone who is motivated, fit and hard working will pick the role up quickly.
To start with, the roster will be Monday to Thursday, FIFO from Townsville on the charter flight to a remote Mt Isa mine site. After a few months, the roster will change to 2 weeks on, 1 week off. Shifts are 12 hr days.
Applicants must currently reside in Townsville.
Please ensure you meet the following mandatory criteria to apply:
- Current QESC licence. These take up to 6 weeks to process which is why only those who already have one can be considered for this work
- Be able to pass medical and D&A; screening
- Be competent on a computer to be able to complete all site online induction requirements
