The Role
Ensure that all dishes from the section are prepared consistently and according to standard recipes
Rotate in any section of the kitchen when necessary or as requested by the Chef de Cuisine or senior members of the kitchen brigade
Ensure that kitchen and operating equipment is maintained to a good standard
Organize and set up the assigned section of the kitchen as effectively as possible to increase speed and maximize productivity.
Maintain a hygienic and clean work environment to HACCP standards
To work with the other departments in the hotel and deliver exceptional guest experiences
The Person
Cert III or higher in Commercial Cookery and A la carte experience
Previous experience in a 5 star hotel environment preferred
Availability to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings weekends & public holidays
Strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
Naturally curious and driven, willing to try new things and ready to grow their professional career to the next level
