IMPACT is also a Child Safe Organisation committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.Intensive Family SupportThe Intensive Family Support Service assists vulnerable families with children and young people (up to 18), who are at risk of involvement in the statutory child protection system.
This is a consent-based program providing case management for clients who agree to engage with our service.
Our Case Managers work with families and other agencies to provide a coordinated and comprehensive response to address families' needs.
This position is based at our Fraser Coast office and part of a friendly and supportive team.About the Case ManagerCase Managers work collaboratively with families to identify and prioritise their presenting needs and provide intensive support interventions and engagement with specialist services.
As part of a team, on a day-to-day basis you will:Work with parents and caregivers, through tailored interventions to build their skills and capacity to safely nurture and protect their childrenDevelop engagement strategies for families experiencing domestic and family violenceConduct home visits and continually assess safety and child protections concernsIdentify, develop and maintain case plans and goals with families so child protection concerns are addressedUndertake risk assessments where domestic and family violence is identified and engage all family membersLiaise and negotiate with service providers including Child SafetyIndependently manage a case load of familiesTo make a difference in this role, you will have:University degree qualifications in human services or related field or current enrolmentWorking knowledge of domestic violence issues and issues associated with families at risk of entering the child protection systemTrack record in negotiating with service providersDemonstrated interpersonal and communication skillsEffective written communication including the capacity to conduct assessments and develop an evidence-based rationaleWhy IMPACT?
