About us:
Happy Haven OSHC is a South Australian-owned and operated company managing 49 OSHC services across the state.
We are an Approved Provider with an expert team capable of running outstanding OSHC programs on school sites.
About the role:
As the Service Co-Ordinator, you will oversee the OSHC service, ensuring high-quality care, engaging programs, and regulatory compliance.
Your responsibilities include providing pedagogical leadership, mentoring educators, fostering community relationships, and building trust with families.
This role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term basis, with the possibility of permanent appointment later.
Duties include:
Overseeing operational and administrative aspects
Ensuring compliance with Education and Care regulations, Happy Haven OSHC policies, and legislative requirements
Maintaining and exceeding National Quality Standards
Providing leadership and driving continuous improvement
Developing and updating the Quality Improvement Plan and Strategic Inclusion Plan
Developing and implementing support plans
Facilitating effective communication among staff
Inducting new employees while maintaining confidentiality and privacy standards
Managing the service budget and resources
Handling documentation, medication, and Risk Minimisation and Communication Plans for children with health needs
Developing and maintaining service-specific risk assessments, supervision plans, and guidelines
Ensuring accurate display of prescribed information
liaising with school Advisory Committees and Governing Councils, including the Principal, Business Manager, and Contract Manager
Engaging positively with families and outside agencies in the school community
Assisting in staff recruitment in collaboration with head office teams
Maintaining awareness of and accountability for service rosters to ensure legal ratios
Providing a safe workplace that meets work, health, and safety standards, both physical and psychosocial
Requirements:
Strong organisational and communication skills
Previous managerial and leadership experience
A proactive attitude and passion for child development
Understanding of the National Quality Framework
Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or a degree in Early Childhood from a recognized university
Alternative qualifications recognized by ACECQA for South Australia
Willingness to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services National Law
Valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check or willingness to obtain
Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN-EC) certificate or willingness to obtain
First aid training (HLTAID004 or HLTAID012) or equivalent
CPR training (HLTAID001 or HLTAID009) or equivalent
