Web App Developer — Graduate / Early Career
I'm looking for a uni grad to help me with a 6-month project, which could very well be extended — potentially indefinitely.
You'll have a left-brain degree of some kind, or you might still be studying. Engineering (any flavour), comp science, data science, etc. Any of these will do, and even that's not a hard requirement.
More importantly, you'll value being part of an entrepreneurial environment, shared with a small group of people who have built things from the ground up and enjoy the process.
What you'll do
You'll be building a web app from scratch, with my assistance and guidance. This web app, which doesn't yet exist, sits at the intersection of resource exploration and investing.
It'll be a fun project, especially if you have interest in either of these areas — or you just like the reward that comes with building stuff. Never done such a thing? That's not a deal breaker by any stretch, so long as you:
Are a great problem solver who gets a kick out of working past blockages and building things.
Have a technically oriented brain and high computer literacy. Modern tools mean we barely touch code directly, so don't think programming is a prerequisite for software development.
Can communicate effectively and value authenticity and transparency in relationships.
Have an entrepreneurial streak. This role will expose you to a small group of people who have always been self-employed — you'll learn a tonne, and opportunities may potentially flow down the track.
Visa sponsorship is available for suitable candidates without existing Australian work rights.
Who are we?
The role is a bit different. I'm in my 40s, have built a couple of businesses over my career. I have my own office close to my house, which I share with a couple of people I've worked with on and off over the decades.
It's time to kick off another business idea I've been sitting on for a long time. I have the skills but not the time to do this — that's where this role comes in.
This is not a corporate environment. You'll work from a funky little office in West Leederville with pragmatic, down-to-earth, relaxed people. Please do not turn up in a suit.
The details
Ready to go straight away — full-time or part-time.
6-month initial term, with the aim for it to flow on from there.
$75k p.a. plus super — aim is to bump that up after 12 months and beyond.
