Key Responsibilities
* Sort material for destruction on tables or conveyor belts with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Operate shredding and baling equipment according to industry safety and quality standards.
* Record information on inbound and outbound loads with precision and speed.
* Conduct pre-start checks on plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Maintain facility cleanliness by regularly cleaning equipment and disposing of waste effectively.
* Restock shelves and containers, returning items to their designated places.
* Verify loads are secure and relocate goods packed on pallets or crates within the facility as needed.
* Assist with the loading and unloading of local trucks in a timely manner.
* Load objects into containers and semi-trailers to permitted load limits while ensuring stability and safety.
* Inspect the quality of incoming and outgoing materials, reporting any non-compliance to supervisors promptly.
