About the Role:
As a Development Worker, you will be responsible for carrying out development work and other mining tasks as directed by the Supervisor. Your primary goal is to ensure the shift operates safely and efficiently, complying with all policies and procedures, and meeting production targets.
To achieve this, you will need to be organized and prepared to undertake all assigned tasks by the Supervisor. This includes providing handovers and technical support to the team, demonstrating excellent housekeeping standards, operating machines to achieve production levels, and ensuring all pre-starts are completed and that staff arrive fit for work for all rostered days.
Additionally, you will be responsible for reporting all activities accurately to Pitram, including loading location and material details.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in underground hard rock techniques, including level development and ground support installation, is essential for this role. You should also have knowledge of charging, firing, bogging, and trucking of development headings. A team-oriented attitude, understanding of machinery and care of mobile mechanical equipment, and a valid driver's license are also required. Furthermore, current Dangerous Goods and Working at Heights cards are necessary for this position.
