IDT Network Administrator
About the role
The Network Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Mercy Community's network infrastructure across on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. This includes managing Meraki and other network devices, Azure networking services, firewalls, routing, switching, wireless infrastructure, and VPN services.
The role ensures secure, reliable, and scalable network operations that support organisational growth, cyber‑security initiatives, modern digital workplaces, and high‑availability service delivery across all Mercy Community sites.
Experience requirements for the role:
* 3+ years' experience in network administration or similar technical infrastructure roles.
* Strong experience with Meraki network equipment and cloud‑managed networking.
* Strong working knowledge of Azure networking services (VNets, NSGs, VPN, routing, hybrid connectivity, etc.).
* Solid understanding of firewalls, VLANs, routing protocols, Wi‑Fi technologies, and network security principles.
* Experience with monitoring tools and network management platforms.
* Excellent analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
The following experience/ qualifications will be highly regarded in the selection process:
* Experience in the healthcare, aged care, or community services sector.
* Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Meraki CMNA/CMNO).
* Experience with automation (PowerShell, Python, APIs).
* Knowledge of cyber‑security frameworks and network compliance standards.
