Key Responsibilities
* Design and Development: Create new ordnance and associated equipment, applying knowledge of chemistry, physics, and engineering principles.
* Firing Trials and Analysis: Conduct thorough testing, processing, and analysis of energetic materials to ensure safety and efficacy.
* Logistics and Disposal: Support the storage, breakdown, and disposal of ordnance and explosive materials, adhering to strict regulations.
* Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections, audits, and stock-takes of munitions and explosives to maintain inventory accuracy.
Requirements
* Tertiary Qualifications: Hold tertiary qualifications in chemistry, physics, engineering, or a related scientific field.
* Specialist Training: Possess specialist training and experience in explosive ordnance and energetic materials.
* Research and Development: Have experience in concept design, development of ordnance prototypes, manufacture, synthesis, and characterization of energetic materials, as well as management of research, storage, and disposal facilities for explosives.
