This position plays a critical role in ensuring our general ledger, reconciliations, statutory obligations and reporting processes are maintained to the highest standards.
Working closely with the Senior Financial Accountant and broader finance team, you'll contribute to timely, accurate financial information that supports decision-making across our national network. What You'll Be Doing Financial Accounting & Reporting
You will play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls and reporting accuracy by:Maintaining the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
Preparing balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation in line with Group policies
Managing key registers including prepayments, credit cards, and fixed assets
Recording and accounting for leased assets in accordance with AASB16
Ensuring monthly accruals are captured and recorded accurately
Supporting month-end close through journal preparation and reconciliations
Assisting with financial statements and board reporting commentaryStatutory ComplianceSupporting FBT and annual tax compliance processes
Assisting with half-year and annual audits
Ensuring ongoing compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirementsBusiness Partnering & AnalysisSupporting financial reporting, analysis, and variance investigations
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and modelling
Contributing to finance projects and process improvements About You We're looking for a detail-oriented, proactive accountant who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
To be successful, you will have:Tertiary qualifications in Accounting
CPA/CA (or working towards)
3-5 years' experience in financial accounting
Experience working in a medium to large organisation employees)
Strong general ledger, reconciliations and reporting experience
Knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements
Advanced Excel Skills And Financial Systems Experience
Strong attention to detail and process mindsetHighly regarded:Power BI / Power Query exposure
Experience in an ASX listed business
