Kitchen Supervisor – At Tahune Adventures
30+ Hrs Per Week - Working 9.30am till 4.00pm Each Day (Approx.)
Lead Your Own Kitchen with 2 weekends off each month
Please Note: This role is based out at Tahune Adventures - a 1.5hr drive from Hobart and a Drivers License and Reliable car is a must
Tahune Adventures is searching for a highly motivated Kitchen Supervisor to join our vibrant team In this role, you'll play a key role in driving success for our visitor center food operations, ensuring exceptional service and delicious food for all our guests.
What you'll do:
* Oversee all aspects of the kitchen, from menu planning, ordering and stock control to maintaining the highest standards cleaning, food quality and presentation.
* Lead, train, and motivate your casual staff member/s, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Manage stock control and minimize waste through efficient ordering and portion control.
* Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe working environment according to all regulations.
* Food Safety Supervisor certification or Food Handler Certificate is required for this position.
* Partner with the Operations Manager to drive profitability through menu optimization and stock management.
* Oversee monthly stock-takes and participate in kitchen scheduling.
* Report any performance or safety concerns to management.
* Maintain a well-maintained kitchen, reporting any repairs or equipment needs.
* Organise and prepare meals for Tour Group including Cruise ship and school groups.
What you'll bring:
* Experience as a cook in a fast-paced commercial kitchen would be an advantage but not essential.
* Passion for creating delicious meals.
* Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in food preparation and cleaning.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Open Australian Drivers License.
* Reliable mode of transport
* Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
* Permanent residency or Australian citizenship is required.
