Job Description
A senior communications professional is required to lead strategic communications and engagement initiatives that connect communities with the benefits of infrastructure investment.
1. Develop, implement, and manage strategic communication plans and campaigns for projects across the region.
2. Work closely with project delivery teams to craft messaging that connects community members with the social and economic benefits.
3. Build strong and enduring stakeholder relationships.
4. Create innovative materials (media releases, newsletters, social media content) that keep commuters and residents updated on project progress.
5. Act as a trusted advisor, providing senior leaders and project teams with timely and expert advice on communication best practices and engagement strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, or public relations (preferably in government or infrastructure).
* Strong understanding of infrastructure projects, or a willingness to quickly develop this knowledge.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proven ability to engage diverse communities and manage sensitive messaging in high-profile settings.
* Experience working within or alongside government departments.
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach to challenges.
