Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Workshop Supervisor to join our Automotive On-Highway team in the Wetherill Park Workshop.
The successful Supervisor will be looking after our Local and Fleet customers who operate Kenworth, Western Star and International Acco heavy vehicles fitted with our 15 and 9 litre engines, respectively.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
* Responsible for leading and mentoring a team of technicians and apprentices
* Consulting with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth process from beginning to end
* Ensuring adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to the Branch Leadership
* Completing required documentation
* Being a hands‐on tools Supervisor from time to time
External Qualifications and Competencies
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
* Qualified Heavy Diesel Automotive Mechanic is preferred, but will also consider a Light Vehicle background with heavy experience
* Experience workingon engine products and Heavy On-Highway Vehicles e.g., Kenworth, Western Star
* Experience in using electronic troubleshooting systems and following defined OEM procedures
* HR (Heavy Rigid License) Truck will be advantageous
* Previous or demonstrated experience in supervising and mentoring in a workshop environment
* Effective communication and organization skills
* Self motivator with exceptional organisational skills and be able to multi‐task in a high-pressure environment
Compensation and Benefits
* Monday to Friday Day shift 6.24am to 2.30pm & 2 Saturdays per month (shift allowances will apply)
* Competitive Hourly rate paid as a permanent salary
* Overtime paid as penalty rates for all work above standard Mon – Fri 38-hour work week

Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position
* Qualified Heavy Diesel Automotive Mechanic (Cert III)is preferred.
* Organisational skills and multi-tasking, in a high-pressure environment.
* Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
* Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)
* Strong Safety focused and willing to drive HSE policies and procedures
* Drive team performance to meet service KPI's
* Self motivated and willing to work independently.
* Has innovated mindset.
