**Job Title:** AOD Counsellor - ACCHS
**Job Description:
The successful applicant will work as a mental health professional providing clinical interventions to young people aged 12-25 years. The position requires coordinating care for individuals presenting with complex difficulties and working closely with multidisciplinary teams. In addition, the candidate will provide professional clinical supervision to staff and students ensuring high-quality care and professional development.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Delivering evidence-based clinical interventions to support the health and wellbeing of young people.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* A tertiary degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification, with general registration as a Counsellor.
* Current membership of the Australian Counselling Association or equivalent, with demonstrated ability to comply with the profession's code of ethics and practice.
* Senior practitioner experience and relevant tertiary qualifications in Health or Behavioural/Social Sciences, with current registration with a professional body.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Selection Criteria:
To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate:
* Experience in providing clinical, evidence-based interventions with young people and their families.
* Experience in providing supervision with guidelines from the ACA or equivalent.
* Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and issues impacting service delivery for young people and their families.
* Motivation and enthusiasm to establish an altered pathway/clinic for young people and their families at headspace Mt Isa.

* Current C Class Drivers Licence (Queensland) essential.
* Satisfactory police check, no serious/criminal/court record.
* Current Blue card (working with children and young people) or willingness to apply for a Blue card.
* Travel cross-region may be required.
