The position of Administration Officer will provide efficient and effective administrative support and functions for Patient Support Services but assist in other areas of as required and deliver a high level of customer service, demonstrating understanding, empathy, patience, and a positive attitude.
About The Team
The Patient Support Services team is comprised of seven essential units that work collaboratively to ensure the smooth operation and safety of the healthcare environment. These units include Cleaning, which maintains hygiene and infection control standards; Linen, responsible for the supply and management of hospital textiles; Waste, which handles the safe and efficient disposal of various waste streams; and Porterage, which supports the movement of patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the facility. The Help Desk serves as a central communication hub, coordinating service requests and support tasks. CELS (Central Equipment Loan Service) provide and manages the distribution of medical equipment to support clinical care. Lastly, fr ensures the safety and protection of patients, staff, and visitors. Together, these units form a cohesive team dedicated to supporting patient care and hospital operations. About The Role
* Provide high quality confidential administrative support to the Patient Support Services team as directed.
* Work autonomously, utilising discretion in the absence of decision makers in resolution of conflict, to meet deadlines, establish work priorities, and organise meetings, events, and activities.
* Exercise judgement when necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures are not defined.
* Participate in the development, implementation, review and maintenance of internal systems, processes, and work practices.
