We are seeking an experienced communications professional to join our team as a Strategic Communications Manager. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in shaping our reputation and influencing stakeholders through strategic communications.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communications strategies that align with our business objectives. This includes managing external communications, internal communications, and media relations.
* Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans to build relationships with key influencers and stakeholders.
* Manage press office duties, including media inquiries and crisis communications.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop messaging frameworks and content calendars.
* Provide counsel on reputational risk management and issues management.
* Supervise agency relationships and optimize output.
* Coordinate with internal communications colleagues on local engagement needs.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a seasoned communications professional with a proven track record of success in strategic communications. You will have:
* At least 10 years of experience in communications, with a blend of agency and in-house roles.
* Solid domain knowledge in public affairs and media relations.
* Direct experience working with ANZ journalists, producers, and editors.
* Understanding of leading industry groups and other thought-leading organizations in our space.
* Proven ability to deliver tangible outcomes and drive results.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong executive presence.
* Strong management skills and ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
* Experience working across international markets with a culturally diverse team.
* Comfort with ambiguity and ability to problem solve, test, and learn.
